CITY OF TUCSON MOVES FORWARD WITH STREETSCAPE PROJECT - The Mayor and Tucson City Council approved an agreement this week with the Rio Nuevo Multipurpose Facilities District for the Downtown Tucson Streetscape Project. As part of a 2013 settlement agreement with the City, Rio Nuevo agreed to spend up to $750,000 to fund City-approved streetscapes in parts of downtown. Improvements will include new sidewalks, lighting, art, shade structures, tree wells, and other items. Read the Mayor and Council agenda materials.

DISCOVER THE DINOSAURS THIS WEEKEND AT THE TCC - Discover the Dinosaurs is a family-friendly event that explores the mystery of prehistoric life in an environment of learning and discovery. Enjoy up to 40 hands-on exhibits featuring museum-quality dinosaurs. In addition, plenty of activities will be available for kids. Tickets are available via Ticketmaster. TIP A COP FOR SPECIAL OLYMPICS - Members of the Tucson Police Department will be at the Claim Jumper restaurant (3761 E. Broadway) tonight from 5-9 o'clock for the annual Special Olympics Tip-A-Cop fundraiser. Tip-A-Cop events are part of the Law Enforcement Torch Run®, which is one of the largest fundraising arms of Special Olympics.
