'TIS THE SEASON TO TREECYCLE - Christmas is just a couple of days from now, so it's time to start thinking about what to do with your real tree. Remember your Christmas tree is a renewable resource. Bring your cut tree (minus the decorations) to one of nine sites throughout the community. The annual TreeCycle begins this Friday and runs through Jan. 11 at sites in Tucson and Oro Valley. Additionally, from Jan. 2-11, the City of Tucson will have Merry Mulch (wood chips) from shredded Christmas trees available for pick-up at Udall Park, Randolph Golf Course, and the Los Reales Landfill. Bring your own container and take home some free wood chips for your garden. Please note that the City of Tucson will not collect Christmas trees from curbs and alleys, and other green waste cannot be accepted at TreeCycle.
