The Pima Association of Governments (PAG) is seeking volunteers to help conduct its annual bicycle and pedestrian count in October. Volunteers may help with weekday morning (7-9 a.m.) and evening (4-6 p.m.) counts or weekend morning (7-10 a.m.) counts at approximately 80 locations.
Training sessions are scheduled for Monday, Oct. 7, 5-6 p.m. at Himmel Park Library, 1035 N. Treat Ave., and Tuesday, Oct. 8, 5-6 p.m. at Joel D. Valdez Library, 101 N. Stone Ave. The count begins Saturday, Oct. 12.
Results of the count help in the planning for future bicycle and pedestrian safety improvements. Sign up to be a volunteer here.
