Pima County and Sonoran Institute Complete Report on Lower Santa Cruz River

Pima County and the Sonoran Institute have released the final EPA-funded report on “A Living River," a series of studies of changes in the health of the Santa Cruz River. The report focuses on a 23-mile stretch west and north of Tucson and describes the improved wetlands conditions created by the higher quality of treated effluent released into the river.

An event to celebrate the Santa Cruz River and the latest report will be held this Thursday, 4-5 p.m., at the Joel D. Valdez Main Library, 101 N. Stone Ave.
