Pima County's Geographic Information Systems (GIS) group hosts its 22nd annual GIS Fair on Friday, Nov. 8, 9 a.m.-2 p.m., in the Public Works Building, 201 N. Stone Ave. This year’s theme is "It’s a Dry Heat [GIS and the Sonoran Desert]."
Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about GIS and related technologies by watching live demonstrations and presentations. More than 20 exhibitors are participating, including the City of Tucson, the University of Arizona, Pima Association of Governments, Northwest Fire District, and San Xavier District. Attendance is free.
There will also be popcorn, snacks, coffee, and the chance to win a variety of door prizes. More than 300 people attended last year's GIS Fair, the highest attendance ever.
