The Pima County Board of Supervisors voted 3-2 yesterday to raise sewer user rates and fees, while also increasing connection fees by 3 percent starting June 1. This fee and rate change will increase an average customer’s sewer bill by $1.12. This connection fee increase will apply to homebuilders and new businesses looking to connect to the sewer system for the first time and to existing users wanting to increase their potential discharge to the public sewer system.
Sewer fees are billed through the Utility Services Statement, which also includes charges for water use. The City of Tucson mails the sewer bills through an agreement with Pima County.
