The Tucson Police Department (TPD) currently has multiple vacancies for public safety dispatchers within the Communications Division. The position involves skilled radio communications, including dispatching emergency and non-emergency calls for service. The dispatcher must relay critical information via a radio system to public safety personnel who are dispatched on calls for service.
This position also evaluates, triages, and then disseminates information to public safety personnel and tracks their location and welfare. The job also requires the dispatcher to access and enter computer information, so extensive keyboarding and multitasking abilities are essential. The application deadline is April 10.
