El Tour de Tucson, the city’s premier cycling event, is Saturday, Nov. 17, and there still is time to register for rides of 100, 75, 50, or 25 miles. In addition, there are fun rides of 10 miles, 4 miles, or 1 mile. There also will be plenty of other activities for families and children.
There are also opportunities for volunteers, either at Saturday’s race or at the two-day Bicycle, Health, & Fitness Expo at the Tucson Convention Center on Thursday and Friday, Nov. 15 and 16.
El Tour de Tucson was started in 1983 and is now one of the largest road bicycling events in the United States. It is hosted by Perimeter Bicycling, a 501(c)3 nonprofit that produces bicycling events for community, charity, and wellness.
