The Houghton Road/22nd Street intersection will be closed for a couple of hours tomorrow to allow work crews to relocate traffic signals. Traffic will be shifted to the west side of the roadway. Work hours will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The complete two-hour closure of the intersection is scheduled to take place sometime within those work hours. Tucson Police Department officers will direct travel at the intersection during the work.
Another project will close a two-block section of Sixth Street, from Ferro Avenue to Arizona Avenue, just north of downtown tomorrow night through Thursday night. The 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. closure each night will allow crews to remove asphalt and repave Sixth Street. Workers will reopen the roadway each morning to allow for through traffic.
