Signature Event of Tucson, Gem, Mineral & Fossil Showcase Opens at TCC

The annual Tucson Gem and Mineral Show® - the one that started all of the gem shows in Tucson - opened this morning at the Tucson Convention Center (TCC). Presented by the Tucson Gem and Mineral Society, the show attracts thousands of treasure hunters from around the world. Free seminars and a Junior Education Area make the show a big draw for local families, too.

Hours are 10 a.m.-6 p.m. through Saturday and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets can be purchased at the TCC or by following the show link, which also includes a coupon.

Sun Link streetcar stops are located on the west side of the TCC, and the City's free GemRide shuttle provides access to an additional 33 stops for the other shows continuing downtown.

The show caps off the two-week-long Tucson Gem, Mineral & Fossil Showcase, which accounts for an estimated $120 million in direct spending in the Tucson region.
