The department will be hiring more than 150 lifeguards and swimming instructors for exciting summer work at City of Tucson pools. The jobs start the week of May 26. Lifeguards are responsible for the safety of patrons at the City's Parks and Recreation department's swimming pools. A lifeguard's major responsibility is to observe swimmers and enforce regulations to prevent accidents at swimming pools.
The department offers training to become a lifeguard. See the current Activity Guide or EZEEreg.com for deadlines and class schedules. For more information about these training classes, please contact Registration Services at 791-4877.
