The Southern Arizona Research, Science and Engineering Fair will be held Wednesday through Saturday at the Tucson Convention Center (TCC), with projects featuring microbiology, engineering, and more. Participants range from elementary to high school students.
This year's fair has almost 2,000 entries, and only the top 10 percent of each school's science fair is eligible to compete. More than 300 prizes will be awarded.
The winner of the fair will go on to compete in a national competition at the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair.
