Surveyors, contracted by the City, will collect information on all routes through the end of March. Participants will take part in a short 5-minute interview with a surveyor and will be asked a series of questions related to their travel behaviors. The purpose of the survey is to understand how people use transit to travel throughout Tucson.
Sun Tran, the City of Tucson, and the RTA will use the survey data to make future improvements to transit service. Passengers can identify surveyors by looking for employees wearing blue vests and identification badges. Onboard transit passenger studies typically are conducted every three years to stay current with changes in the Tucson region, including demographics and household incomes. The region’s last survey was conducted in 2016.
