Tucson City Council Passes Tentative Budget

The Mayor and Tucson City Council last night approved the tentative budget for the fiscal year that begins today, July 1. The $1.7 billion spending plan sets aside $71 million for a disaster relief fund (the remainder of the $95 million the City received from the CARES Act).

A public hearing will be held on the tentative budget on July 21, with final adoption scheduled for later that evening. Property tax levies will be adopted on Aug. 11. Use the Budget Participatory tool to provide your input.
