Tucson Fire Department History Book on Sale

A new book called "Tucson Fire Department, Established 1881" is on sale now from the Greater Tucson Fire Foundation.

The 244-page book chronicles the department’s history from its frontier days to its 21st-century firefighting tradition. It was compiled from the archive of more than 300,000 searchable items on the Fire Foundation’s website and contains numerous photos and documents.

The book sells for $37.95 (plus $5.95 shipping) and is available to order here. You can also buy the book at the foundation's estate sale/resale pop-up store, 4911 E. 29th St., from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. on Dec. 1-2. Proceeds from sales will raise funds to help firefighters.
