Tucson Parks and Recreation Seeks More Input on Five-Year Master Plan

The Tucson Parks and Recreation department wants to know how it can improve recreation and leisure opportunities for all of its users.

This month, the department kicks off a second round of open houses to gather input on the process to create a vibrant, new five-year master plan that anticipates future needs and outlines the actions necessary to deliver high-quality recreation facilities, programs, and services to the Tucson area.

The public process provides opportunities for input through the project website (link below) or email to parksmasterplan@tucsonaz.gov. Stakeholder focus group meetings are being held through April 20, with the first meeting scheduled for tomorrow from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at El Pueblo Activity Center (Multipurpose Room), 101 W. Irvington Road.

Locations and times for the other open houses are posted on the project's website.
