Tucson Police Helping Refugee Youth

The Tucson Police Department (TPD) is participating in a refugee youth mentorship program that is part of a partnership with Lutheran Social Services. There are currently four police officers and two community service offices who are mentoring the youth refugees, and two of those being mentored are in our hiring pipeline.

TPD says it's important the police force reflects the diverse population in our community. KGUN9 recently featured a story on the program.
