Tucson Police Helping Teens Learn Safe Driving Techniques (Video)

The Safe Teen Accident Reduction Training (S.T.A.R.T.) program is a free ($50 donation suggested), hands-on class offered to licensed/insured teens, ages 16-19.

They have the opportunity to attend a fun and informative five-hour class at the Tucson Police Academy (10001 S. Wilmot Rd.) where the behind-the-wheel training takes place on a state-of-the-art, closed driving course. Sponsored by the Southern Arizona Law Enforcement Foundation, the classes are taught by professional Tucson Police Department (TPD) driving instructors, and vehicles are provided by TPD and Jim Click Automotive Team.
