The City of Tucson is accepting applications for police officer recruits through Jan. 13. Applicants for this position must complete both the online application and online questionnaire. Physical fitness assessments and written examinations will be held at the City's Public Safety Academy, 10001 S. Wilmot Road.
The training process for a police officer is extensive. A new police recruit will attend the academy for 22 weeks to learn the skills and functions of the job while under the guidance of experienced police staff.
