Tucson Tree Festival & Climbing Championship is Saturday

Some of the best tree climbers in the state will compete for the championship title at the annual Tucson Tree Festival & Climbing Championship on Saturday, March 7, 9 a.m.-1 p.m., at Reid Park, near the smaller pond. Admission to this event is free.

The day’s activities include the tree-climbing championship and master's challenge, a scavenger hunt, exhibits, tree care demos and giveaways, kids and family activities, food trucks, awards, and closing ceremonies. From 9 a.m. to noon, the public can take self-guided walking tours and meet certified arborists at tree stations throughout the park.
