The City of Tucson is looking for a senior recreation worker – van driver to help manage the transportation component for the Senior Nutrition Program at Armory Senior Center. The program provides daily lunches to older adults, organizes social activities for nutrition site participants, and provides participants with social services information and referrals. The van driver schedules and transports seniors to the center and maintains records and reports as required by the City of Tucson, Pima County, and funding sources.
Candidates must be able to pass a background screening upon hire and obtain a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card. This is a non-permanent position in the Tucson Parks and Recreation Department, with a work schedule of no more than 1,300 hours in a 12-month period. No benefits are offered. Applications must be received by Oct. 28. Oral board interviews will be held Nov. 1.
