Tucson Parks and Recreation and the Friends of the Reid Park Rose Garden are seeking volunteers to help prune 650 rose bushes this Saturday, Feb. 2, 9 a.m.-noon, at the Reid Park Rose Garden, 920 S. Concert Place.
Volunteers should bring clippers, gloves, and rakes if they have them. A small amount of wood glue will be added on top of each vine that has been pruned in order to protect the plants from bugs that like to burrow inside the vines.
No experience is needed to participate. For more information and to RSVP, please email Anne Andrews at email@example.com.
