The voter registration deadline for Arizona's Nov. 6 general election is midnight tomorrow, Oct. 9. Those wishing to register to vote should contact the Pima County Recorder's Office at (520) 724-4330. Aside from a number of candidates for state and federal offices, there will be some state and Pima County ballot propositions on the ballot.
The City of Tucson is submitting two propositions to voters. Proposition 407 is a proposal asking voters to consider a $225 million Parks + Connections Bond to fund capital improvements at 100 of the city’s 128 parks. Proposition 408 is a proposed Charter Amendment to extend the terms of the current mayor and city council members by one year, beginning in 2020, and hold even-year primary and general elections for those offices in place of the current odd-year elections.
