The Ward 1 Office of Tucson City Council Member Regina Romero will host a Community Cafecito + Resource Fair on Saturday, Jan. 12, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The free event will be held at the Fred Archer Center, 1665 S. La Cholla Blvd.
More than 15 organizations, including City of Tucson departments, will help people sign up for low-income programs and provide education about resources and opportunities available for people on low or fixed incomes or who are interested in aging in place. People are asked to bring necessary paperwork to sign up for assistance.
Brunch will be provided by La Cuchara de Abuela Catering Collective for the first 100 attendees. There also will be activities for kids. The fair will feature opportunities for an informal dialogue with Council Member Romero to address issues, concerns, and hopes for 2019. For more information, call the Ward 1 office at (520) 791-4040.
