Ward 6 to Host 4th of July Event About Refugees

Ward 6 Tucson City Council Member Steve Kozachik invites the public to attend an Independence Day event at the Benedictine Monastery to celebrate how the Tucson community has been helping with needs of refugee/asylum-seeking families temporarily staying in Tucson while they wait to leave for other cities to meet family members.

The July 4 event runs from 5-6:30 p.m. at the Monastery, 800 N. Country Club Road. In addition to Council Member Kozachik, there will be speakers from Tucson's secular and faith-based communities.
