Women in Government Awards Recognize Exceptional City Employees

The Pima County/Tucson Women’s Commission recognized the work of outstanding women in local public service at last Friday's 2016 Women in Government Day Awards.

City of Tucson Assistant City Manager Julianne Hughes was honored with the Leadership Award. Kelly Nañez of the Tucson Department of Transportation (TDOT) received the Unsung Heroine Award. The Rising Star Award was presented to IT Analyst Marissa Jarvis. Jelena Myers and Andrea Frank of the Tucson Police Department Crime Laboratory DNA Unit were presented with the Synergy Award.
