Summer Track and Field and Road Races

TUCSON PARKS AND RECREATION TO HOST ROAD RACES AND TRACK AND FIELD EVENTS THIS SUMMER 

Tucson Parks and Recreation will be hosting the annual Summer Track and Field and Road Races every Tuesday and Thursday in June and July. More information can be found on the City of Tucson Parks and Recreation Sports Unit webpage, or call 520-791-4870.

Track and Field  Events will include long jump, high jump, turbo javelin, shot put (ages 12 and over), softball throw, 100-, 200- and 400-meter dashes, 800-, 1600-, 3200-meter runs, 4 x 100 relay, and 4 x 400 relay. Ribbons will be given to the top three finishers at each track and field meet.  

Cost: $3/youth (17 years and younger); $4/adults (18 years and older)   

Time: Registration begins at 6:30 p.m.; meet begins at 7 p.m.  

Dates: Every Tuesday, June 7-July 19.   

Location: Drachman Stadium, 501 S. Plumer Ave.

Road Races   Events will include 1-mile predict, 2K, and 5K. Ribbons will be given to the top three finishers at each road race.  

Cost: $3/youth (17 years and younger); $4/adults (18 years and older)  

Time: Registration begins at 5:30 p.m.; races start at 6 p.m.

  • June 9 - Reid Park (SW Corner of Country Club & 22nd Street) 
  • June 16 - Freedom Park (5000 E. 29th Street - South end) 
  • June 23 - Lakeside Park (8201 E. Stella Road - Ramada #1) 
  • June 30 - Kennedy Park (La Cholla & Ajo Road - west side of La Cholla) 
  • July 7 - Lincoln Park (4325 S. Pantano Road - by swimming pool) 
  • July 14 - Reid Park (SW Corner of Country Club Road & 22nd Street) 
  • July 21 - Freedom Park, 5000 E. 29th Street (south end)
