Tucson Parks and Recreation Earns National Accreditation 2015

On September 14, 2015, the City of Tucson Parks and Recreation was recognized for excellence in the field of parks and recreation management by achieving national accreditation from the Commission for Accreditation of Park and Recreation Agencies (CAPRA). The Tucson Parks and Recreation Department was originally accredited by CAPRA in October 2010, and as a requirement of agency accreditation, we are must go through a review process every five years. The department is one of 155 accredited parks and recreation agencies in the United States and one of seven in Arizona. This Distinguished accomplishment was announced at the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA) 2015 Annual Conference.

 

Tucson Parks and Recreation Earns National Accreditation 2010

On October 26, 2010, the City of Tucson Parks and Recreation Department was recognized for excellence in the field of parks and recreation management by becoming one of only ninety-seven agencies in the country currently holding national accreditation from the Commission for Accreditation of Park and Recreation Agencies (CAPRA). This distinguished accomplishment was announced at the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA) 2010 Congress and Exposition.
