The City of Tucson continues to actively work with local, state, and federal partners to mitigate the presence of COVID-19 coronavirus in our region. The direction given by the federal government is to restrict gathering of groups of more than 10 people.

Field reservations have been canceled through August 16th with a reopening date tentatively scheduled for Auguust 17th. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we navigate this unprecedented situation. If you have any questions please email them to SportsUnit@tucsonaz.gov. 

Rain Out Hotline - (520) 837-8110

The Rain Out Hotline for field conditions is updated every time there are field closures in the City due to weather, emergency maintenance issues, or any other unforeseen events.  The Hotline is available 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.  Messages cannot be left on the Hotline.  If you have questions regarding the closures please call the Sports Office at (520) 791-4870 during business hours.

• All athletic field reservations are through the Sports Unit (791-4870)

• For field reservations more than 30 days in advance, a Request Form must be completed.
• Tournament requests - please read over the requirements (you are held responsible for the information in this document), fill out the application and return it to the sports office at sportsunit@tucsonaz.gov
• All tournament and longstanding league rentals must provide the sports office with a $2 million dollar liabilty insurance policy (view the requirements here).

City Softball League

We want to welcome you to the Spring 2020 Softball City League. To help make registration easier for you, we now are offering on-line registration. You can register and pay for the league and day of your choosing through Feb. 28, on a first-come, first-served basis. You must first create an account online at EZEEreg.com if you do not already have one. Only the coach should register for the team. Be advised the registration for leagues will stop at 6 teams per league. If the league is full, you can either go on a wait list or sign up for a different league.

• We will still be accepting walk-in and mail-in registrations for those of you that choose to register that way. The registration time period will be the same, Feb. 3-28. Be advised that spots may be full due to online registration prior to walk-in or mail-in registrations being received.

• You will download the Coaches Agreement when you register. Please print and sign the form and bring it with you to the coaches meeting on March 3, 6 p.m. at the Therapeutic Building, 1000 S. Randolph Way

• League Details

  • Spring/Summer 2020 season begins March 9, 2020.

  • Cost is $308.00 per team of 15 players, $5 each additional player *League fee covers one scorekeeper, two officials, 10 regular-season games, single-elimination tournament and trophies for league/tournament winners and runners up

• Sign up for the free-agent list.  There is no fee to be placed on the list and no guarantee for team placement, the list is a courtesy for coaches.
