2019 Super Sprint Triathlon: Sunday, March 3, 2019

Welcome to the first Super Sprint Triathlon for the City of Tucson Parks and Recreation Department!

Tucson Parks and Recreation is hosting its first ever Super Sprint Triathlon for participants ages 12 and older. Sprint triathlons are short distance triathlons. This triathlon will consist of a 350-yard swim, 6-mile bicycle ride, and a 1.5 mile run. It will be a non-competitive event to bring friends and families out together to encourage exercise. There will be vendors and entertainment throughout the event.

Register online: Register for the event at Register today, less then 300 spots available.

Cost: $35 per person, deadline to register is Feb. 25. Swag bag and T-shirt included with registration. Participants ages 12-17 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to sign release waiver.

Packet pick-up: William M. Clements Fitness Center - 8155 E. Poinciana Dr., Friday, March 1 from 6:00 a.m-8:00 p.m. and Saturday, March 2 from 8:00 a.m. -2:00 p.m. Check-in is required at the check-in tent on the day of the race.

Transition area: Bicycle tranistion area will open at 6:15 a.m. on the day of the triathlon at the William M. Clements Center - 8155 E. Poinciana Dr.

Swim will be the first event: After your bicycle has been dropped off at the tranistion area, then begin lining up at the starting line south side of the pool deck. Please be ready to start lining up by 6:45 a.m.

Parking for the event: Parking will be available at Pima Coummity College East Campus.

Events: 350-yard serpentine swim
Time: 7:00 AM

Everyone will be sent 15 seconds apart from one another. 500 yard estimated swim time required for appropriate placement. Passing will not be allowed during swim due to risk of injury.

Site: Lincoln Regional Park
Events: 6-mile bike route

The entire 6-mile bike course takes place near and around Lincoln Park and the course does not have any major downhill drops or uphill climbs. Traffic will be managed at all intersections and coned off from traffic. The start and finish will be on east Poinciana Drive with the majority of the course in a dedicated bike lane and for a short segment a full car lane.

Beautiful scenic route on a paved path through Lincoln Regional Park. One water station will be available at the half way mark of the run.
