Powerpoint Presentation from October 3rd & 4th Public Meetings

Public Meeting on the Sunset Date of the Infill Incentive District

YOU ARE INVITED TO ATTEND A PUBLIC MEETING ON THE SUNSET DATE OF THE INFILL INCENTIVE DISTRICT (IID). Currently, The City of Tucson Planning and Development Services Department (PDSD) are seeking feedback regarding the IID to help address approaching expiration of the IID ordinance on January, 31 2019. On or before this date, the Mayor and Council must extend the date, remove the date, or let the ordinance expire. This is why your feedback is so important!

At this Public Meeting, PDSD staff will give a presentation to help everyone understand the Infill Incentive District (IID) ordinance, will have time set aside for questions and answers, and time for attendees to share their opinions, observations, and suggestions regarding proposed changes and improvements. This feedback will be essential to staff’s assessment of the provisions of the ordinance and necessary improvements, as Staff will use the input received in refining the suggestions that will be brought to Mayor & Council prior to the sunset date of the ordinance.

Stakeholder Meetings held on August 22, 24, 29 - These stakeholder meetings were held to gain a broad perspective on how the Infill Incentive District (IID) is currently working, and if there are changes that may need to be proposed to Planning Ccmmission and Mayor and Council.  Those who attended included the following: representatives from Neighborhood Associations within the IID, Fourth Avenue Merchants Association, Fourth Avenue Coalition, the previous IID Study Group who reviewed the 2015 ordinance (this included members from neighborhoods, developers, affected HPZ Boards, etc.), members from TRRG, and other previously interested parties.

Stakeholder Meetings with IID Study Group held on September 10 & 20 - These additional stakeholder meetings were held with the previous IID Study Group who reviewed the 2015 ordinance (this included members from neighborhoods, developers, affected HPZ Boards, etc.), to review the feedback from the first three Stakeholder Meetings.  The following is an overview from those two meetings and the powerpoint presentation from those meetings:
