Zoning Compliance Applications for Medical Marijuana Locations

ZONING COMPLIANCE APPLICATIONS FOR

MEDICAL MARIJUANA LOCATIONS

 

The Arizona Department of Health Services is in the process of considering additional dispensary registration certifications with in the City of Tucson planning boundaries dispensary between July 18  and July 29, 2016. 

The City of Tucson requires a Zoning Compliance Application to be submitted and formally reviewed for all Medical Marijuana Locations. Zoning review process takes four weeks from the application acceptance stage to be reviewed.  This process includes the completion of the Arizona Department of Health Services Documentation of Compliance with Local Jurisdiction Zoning. The review process and site verification will take approximately four (4) weeks to complete. A provisional letter of zoning compliance may be issued to the applicant upon verification of compliance with the provisions of the Ordinances, where required by applicable health regulations. Zoning compliance will only be considered final upon proof of compliance with applicable health regulations to include registration, as may be required by the Arizona Department of Health Services. A provisional letter of zoning compliance will be valid for a period of one (1) year from date of issuance. 

Should two applications be submitted on one parcel/address only the site with the registration certificate from the Arizona Department of Health Services will be vested. 

Should the Arizona Department of Health Services select two applications with in the same vicinity or within 2,000 foot buffer zone, only the first approved Zoning Compliance Application shall be vested.
