Public Safety

Plan Tucson supports the provision of high quality, efficient, and cost-effective law enforcement, fire and hazardous material response, and emergency medical services, and coordinated regional response in the event of an emergency. The Plan also supports public safety through a number of policies that call for proactive, pro-social actions such as property maintenance, information sharing and social networks, education and prevention programs, natural hazard mitigation, and safe urban design practices.
