Jason Winsky is the Sergeant of the Mental Health Support Team. He is a native of Tucson and is a graduate of the University of Arizona. Jason is a facilitator of the Tucson Regional Crisis Intervention Team Training program and is also a Mental Health First Aid instructor. Jason gives presentations about the Mental Health Support Team and would be happy to answer any questions about how our Team works.
Officer Schladweiler has been serving with Tucson Police Department for 10 years. He started with the Mental Health Support team in 2014. He had worked in the West Division in patrol and was a detective prior to his current assignment in the Mental Health Support Team.
Officer Hunt is a Tucson native who has been with the Tucson Police Department for 3.5 years. He was assigned to Operations Division South prior to his current assignment with the MHST unit. He is both basic and advanced CIT certified and General Instructor certified. Prior to police service, Ofc Hunt served 8 years in the Marine Corps and is a OEF veteran who served one tour in Afghanistan.
Officer Hussman has been working with the Tucson Police Department for 4 1/2 years. He started his assignment the Mental Health Support Team in September of 2015. Before there he was assigned to Operations Division East. He is a Mental Health First Aid Instructor, Driving Instructor, and a High Risk Stop Instructor.
Officer Dial has served with the Tucson Police Department for 17 years, but began his law enforcement career as a TPD Explorer. A 2015 Unsung Hero Award winner, he worked as patrol in Midtown for approximately 14 years before assignment to the MHST Unit. He is CIT certified, a Certified Mental Health First Aid Instructor, General Instructor, Tactical Driving, and High Risk Stop Instructor, as well as a Hostage Negotiator.
Detective Golden has been with the Tucson Police Department since 2011. Prior to his current assignment he was assigned to patrol in Ops Division West and previously served in the United States Marine Corps.
Officer Godfrey has served with the Tucson Police Department for 7 years. He worked Eastside patrol for approximately 6 years and also was selected as one of the first ARC/Mayoral Security Detail officers. Prior to being selected for the MHST Unit Officer Godfrey continued to work Eastside patrol as a Field Training Officer. He is a Certified Bilingual Spanish Language Officer for the department and has multiple other certifications including CIT.
Officer Brazill has served with the Tucson Police Department for three years. Being born and raised in Tucson inspired him to serve and give back to the community as a police officer. He was assigned as a patrol officer out of Operations Division Midtown prior to be assigned to the mental health unit. He is currently CIT and advanced CIT certified.
Detective Estrada has served with the Tucson Police Department 19 1/2 years in the following capacity: 4 years patrol in Operation Division West; 2001 promoted to detective and spent 7 years in the Street Narcotics Unit where she was Clandestine Lab certified, then spent 8 1/2 years in the Domestic Violence Unit and was recently assigned to the MHST Unit. Awards: Employee of the Quarter 2004-3, Unit Medal Award 2006 and Medal of Distinguished Service 2013.
