The cost for copies of paper public records is $5.00 per report up to 15 pages; $0.25 cents per page after 15 pages. Digital media is $25.00 and includes data, video, and audio recordings on CD or DVD.  Per A.R.S. 39-127 victims of Part I Crimes receive one free copy of the case report.

Do you need to obtain a Collision Report?

Collision reports are available at any time through a partnership with the Carfax Police Crash Assistance Program. 

The reports are stored electronically in a secure database and available for purchase online at: http://www.crashdocs.org/TucsonPoliceDepartment

Do you need an Arrest History or Clearance Letter?

Letters documenting an individual's arrest history with the Tucson Police Department are available to that person or a representative. Requests for this service must be made in person or by mail.

  1. Bring a government-issued picture ID or birth certificate. For requests by mail the requester’s signature must be notarized. 
  2. Include your full name, any former/maiden names and your date of birth on the request.
  3. Indicate if you need the letter notarized.

The charge is $5.00 for three copies of the letter.

At the Public Records windows, located at the Records Section, we accept cash, personal checks, money orders, or credit cards.

Please Note:
Due to the number of requests and staffing, we are not able to process your request immediately. Every effort will be made to complete requests within 5 to 10 business days of receiving the written request. If a request cannot be fully processed within the ten days, you will be notified.
