The milling (removing asphalt) and repaving work on Broadway from Pantano Road to Camino Seco will begin on Monday, June 29, 2015. Crews from Southern Arizona Paving and Construction Co., under contract with the City of Tucson Department of Transportation (TDOT), will work each day from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. Crews will mill a section of roadway one day and repave that section of roadway the following day.
Crews will work next week through Thursday July 2, 2015 and return on Monday July 6, 2015. The milling and paving work is scheduled to be complete on Friday, July 10, 2015. At least two lanes of travel in each direction will be maintained during the work.
This pavement improvement project is part of the $100 million, five-year street bond program – Road Recovery. The Road Recovery program is funded by voter-approved bonds.
Residential and business access will be maintained at all times during this project, except for when heavy equipment is directly in front of a driveway. Please obey all traffic control signs and watch for construction personnel and equipment in the work area. The schedule is subject to change due to equipment malfunction or inclement weather.
