On Sunday, January 4, 2015, crews from Southern Arizona Paving and Construction Co., under contract with the City of Tucson Department of Transportation (TDOT), will begin work to improve the pavement conditions on Campbell Avenue from Broadway north to Third Street.
Crews will be milling (removing asphalt) and repaving Campbell Avenue. The work is scheduled to be complete by Friday, January 9, 2015. To minimize impacts to the adjacent residents, work hours will be 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
This pavement improvement project is part of the $100 million, five-year street bond program - Road Recovery. The Road Recovery program is funded by voter-approved bonds.
Residential and business access will be maintained at all times during the project, except for when heavy equipment is directly in front of a driveway. At least two lanes of travel in each direction will be maintained during this work. Please obey all traffic control signs and watch for construction personnel and equipment in these work areas. The schedule is subject to change due to equipment malfunction or inclement weather.
