SOUTHBOUND LANE CLOSURE
On Monday, August 3, 2015 and Tuesday, August 4, 2015, crews from Sunland Asphalt, under contract with the City of Tucson Department of Transportation (TDOT), will begin milling and paving Country Club Road from 22nd Street to Aviation Parkway. Due to the narrow width of the roadway, the southbound travel lane on Country Club from 22nd Street to Aviation Parkway will be closed to through-traffic during work hours, which are scheduled to be 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Northbound travel will not be affected by this work. Electronic message boards will be in place to alert motorists of the upcoming closure.
This is part of the Country Club Road – Speedway Boulevard to Aviation Parkway resurfacing project. This pavement improvement project is part of the $100 million, five-year street bond program – Road Recovery. The Road Recovery program is funded by voter-approved bonds.
Residential and business access will be maintained at all times during the project, except for when heavy equipment is directly in front of a driveway. The traveling public can expect delays when driving, bicycling and walking in the work area. Please obey all traffic control signs and watch for construction personnel and equipment in these work areas. The schedule is subject to change due to equipment malfunction or inclement weather.
