Cyclovia Tucson - Travel Information

Living Streets Alliance (LSA) will present Cyclovia Tucson, Tucson’s biannual “open streets” event on Sunday, April 2, 2017 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Cyclovia Tucson attracts tens of thousands of people to enjoy 2.5 miles of car-free city streets for one day. During a five-hour period, participants are invited to walk, bike, dance, explore, discover and play along the route. The event is free and open to the public, and there is no official start or finish. The event is a chance for Tucsonans of all ages and abilities to reconnect with their fellow neighbors and rediscover details of their city that are best enjoyed on foot and on bike.

During the event, motorists driving in this area may experience traffic delays associated with this event, so please plan accordingly. The traveling public should use caution when driving, bicycling or walking in this area. Please watch for event participants, obey all traffic control, and watch for detour signs and personnel providing traffic control.

At Cyclovia, Mayor Jonathan Rothschild will launch his fitness challenge month from the Presidio Activity Hub as part of Cyclovia.  The Mayor’s booth will be located inside the Tucson Museum of Art’s Courtyard and will be joined by dozens of health and wellness partners. In addition, Cigna’s cross-country Go.Know.Take Control.Health Improvement Tour will be at the Tucson Museum of Art in the parking lot from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. providing free health screenings and health coaching to the community.

In addition to activities sponsored by Cigna and the Mayor’s office, the Tucson Museum of Art and Museum of Contemporary Art Tucson will offer free admission for the duration of the event, dozens of community partners, entertainers and food trucks will line the route, and the Healthy South Tucson Coalition will host their 6th Annual Health Fair at the House of Neighborly Services at South 8th Avenue and West 33rd Street.
