On Wednesday, January 8, 2014, the City of Tucson Department of Transportation (TDOT) and Western Emulsions will begin a chip seal project on Glenn Street from Craycroft Road to Sahuara Avenue.
TDOT crews have prepared the roadway for the chip seal application by repairing potholes and sweeping the roadway. At about 10 a.m. on Wednesday, crews will begin the chip seal process. The work is scheduled to be complete by 3 p.m. the same day.
On Monday, January 13, 2014, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., crews will return to the job site to apply a thin layer of asphalt emulsion that will seal the roadway. Crews will restripe the roadway on Wednesday, January 15 and Thursday, January 16.
At least one lane of travel in each direction will be maintained during this project. The traveling public can expect delays when driving and bicycling in this work area. Please obey all traffic control signs and watch for construction personnel and equipment in the work zone.
