On Tuesday, April 28, 2015 through Thursday, April 30, 2015, crews from Granite Construction Co., under contract with the City of Tucson Department of Transportation, will adjust manhole covers and water valve covers flush with the new asphalt along Grant Road from Santa Rita Avenue to Campbell Avenue. This work will take place from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. all three days. Travel lane closures will last approximately 24 hours to allow the concrete ring around the covers to dry.
On Monday, May 4, 2015 and Tuesday, May 5, 2015, work crews will mill and repave the Grant Road intersections at Dodge Boulevard, Alvernon Way and Columbus Boulevard. To lessen the impact on the traveling public, this work will be done at night from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. At least one travel lane in each direction at the intersections will be maintained during this work.
On Monday, May 11, 2015 through Thursday, May 14, 2015, work crews will mill and repave Grant Road from Campbell Avenue to Country Club Road. This work will also take place from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. to lessen the impact on the traveling public. At least one travel lane in each direction will be maintained during this work.
On Monday, May 18, 2015 through Friday, May 29, 2015, work crews will adjust manhole covers and water valve covers flush with the new asphalt on Grant Road from Campbell Avenue to Columbus Boulevard. This work will take place from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m., with 24 hour travel lane closures to allow the concrete rings around the covers to dry.
The above schedule is subject to change due to inclement weather or equipment malfunction. The traveling public can expect delays when driving, bicycling and walking in the work area. Please obey all traffic control signs and watch for construction personnel and equipment in the work zone.
