The KOMEN Race for the Cure will take place at the University of Arizona beginning at 7 a.m., Sunday, March 22, 2015. The race will be routed down southbound Campbell Avenue from Third Street to Seventh Street, turns west onto Seventh Street to Park Avenue, turns north on Park Avenue to Sixth Street, turns east on Sixth Street to Highland Avenue, turns north on Highland Avenue to Fourth Street, turns west on Fourth Street to Park Avenue, turns north on Park Avenue to Campus Drive, and makes its way through the University of Arizona campus then re-enters Campbell Avenue at First Street and turns south on Campbell ending at the University of Arizona Mall. Attendees of this event are encouraged to arrive early in order to avoid traffic detours. Below are the vehicular travel restrictions associated with this event. Please note that pedestrian and bicycle access is being maintained in and around road closures. Businesses, parking garages and parking lots are open and accessible.
KOMEN Race for the Cure – Beginning Sunday, March 22, 2015, from 6 a.m. until approximately 10 a.m., southbound Campbell Avenue between Speedway Boulevard and Sixth Street will be closed to motorists. Also, between 6 a.m. and 10 a.m. Sixth Street between Campbell Avenue and Euclid Avenue will be closed; Seventh Street between Park Avenue and Campbell Avenue will be closed and Park Avenue between Eighth Street and University Boulevard will be closed.
Motorists driving near this event area may experience travel delays. The traveling public should use caution when driving, bicycling or walking in this area. Please watch for event participants, obey all traffic control, and watch for detour signs and personnel providing traffic control.
