OVERHEAD STREET SIGN REPLACEMENT CHURCH AVENUE AND ALAMEDA STREET

On Tuesday, May 5, 2020, beginning at 2 a.m., westbound Alameda Street will be closed to through travel at Church Avenue downtown to allow crews from the City of Tucson Department of Transportation and Mobility (DTM) Sign Shop to replace four overhead street name signs at the Church Avenue and Alameda Street intersection.
The work is scheduled to be complete by 2 p.m. the same day. During this work, left turns from northbound Church Avenue and right turns from southbound Church Avenue onto Alameda Street will be prohibited. There will also be travel lane restrictions on northbound and southbound Church Avenue and on westbound Alameda Street, just east of the intersection; however, one lane of travel will be maintained.
The schedule is subject to change due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances. The traveling public can expect delays when driving in this work area. Please obey all traffic control signs and watch for construction personnel and equipment in the area.
