The fog seal project on Columbus Boulevard between 22nd Street and Broadway scheduled for Thursday, October 22, 2015, and the fog seal project on Romero Road between Miracle Mile and Prince Road scheduled for Friday, October 23, 2015 have both been postponed due to weather.
Crews from the City of Tucson Department of Transportation (TDOT) Streets and Traffic Maintenance Division will conduct both fog seal projects on Monday, October 26, 2015 beginning with Romero Road, Miracle Mile to Prince Road. Work will take place from 9 a.m. to noon. During the work, at least one lane of travel in each direction will be maintained.
The fog seal project on Columbus Boulevard from 22nd Street to Broadway will also be done on Monday, October 26, 2015 from about noon to 3 p.m. During the work, only one travel lane will be available; flaggers will help direct motorists through the work zone.
Fog sealing is the application of a thin layer of asphalt emulsion that helps cover small roadway imperfections, cracks or other small voids and seals the existing asphalt to preserve and protect the roadway.
Residential and business access will be maintained at all times during the work, except when heavy equipment is directly in front of a driveway. Please obey all traffic control signs and watch for construction personnel and equipment in these work areas.
