On Monday, March 23, 2015, crews from Granite Construction Co., under contract with the City of Tucson Department of Transportation, will begin work to improve the pavement condition of Grant Road from Santa Rita Avenue to Columbus Boulevard. Crews will begin the project by lowering manhole covers and water valve covers. Lowering the utility covers is scheduled to be complete by Friday, March 27, 2015.
To lessen the impact on the traveling public, crews will work in the eastbound travel lanes from 5:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. and work in the westbound travel lanes from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. During this work at least one lane of travel will be maintained in each direction.
Residential and business access will be maintained at all times during this work. The traveling public can expect delays when driving in the work area. Please obey all traffic control signs and watch for construction personnel and equipment in the work area.
