Corona Road – Tucson Boulevard to Country Club Road
Country Club Road – Los Reales Road to Drexel Road

On Thursday, January 28, 2016, crews from Sunland Asphalt, under contract with the City of Tucson Department of Transportation (TDOT), will begin milling (removing asphalt) and repaving Corona Road from Tucson Boulevard to Country Club Road. Crews will work at night Monday through Friday, from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. During this work at least one travel lane in each direction will be maintained.

This repaving project is scheduled to be complete by Friday, February 5, 2016. Once the repaving work is complete, crews will raise the manhole and water valve covers level with the new asphalt surface. This work will take place on Friday, February 5, 2016 and is scheduled to be complete on one day. The work will take place from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.  Please note that during the utility adjustment phase, travel lane restrictions will be in place for 24 hours to allow the concrete rings to properly cure.

On Monday, February 1, 2016, crews from Sunland Asphalt will begin work to repave Country Club Road from Los Reales Road to Drexel Road. Crews will begin the project by lowering manhole covers and water valve covers. This work will take approximately two days to complete. Work hours will be 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.

On Thursday, February 4, 2016, crews will begin milling (removing asphalt) and repaving Country Club Road. The repaving work is scheduled to be complete by Friday, February 26, 2016. Crews will work Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day. Due to the narrow width of Country Club Road in some sections between Drexel Road and Los Reales Road, periodic one-way travel will be in place in various work segments. Detours will be in place and motorists are urged to follow detour signs.

Business and residential access will be maintained at all times during the projects, except for when heavy equipment is directly in front of a driveway. The traveling public can expect delays when driving, bicycling and walking in the work area. Please obey all traffic control signs and watch for construction personnel and equipment in these work areas. The schedule is subject to change due to equipment malfunction or inclement weather.
