On Friday, September 12, 2014, Toole Avenue will be closed to traffic from Fourth Avenue Underpass/Congress Street west to Pennington Street to allow for work crews to permanently restripe a section of Toole Avenue to one way travel.
The one-day closure will be in effect from approximately 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
When the striping is complete, motor vehicle travel on Toole Avenue will be one way westbound from Fourth Avenue Underpass/Congress Street to the eastern entrance into the Historic Depot.
Two-way travel on Toole Avenue will remain from Stone Avenue to the eastern entrance into the Historic Depot. The permanent travel lane configuration change is taking place to help traffic flow at the Congress Street, Fourth Avenue and Toole Avenue intersection.
Electronic message boards are in place to notify the traveling public of this closure. Motorists and bicyclists will be detoured from Toole Avenue during this work. Access to the Historic Depot will be maintained via the western driveway on Toole Avenue.
