FLOWING WELLS ROAD – ROGER ROAD TO MIRACLE MILE
IRONWOOD HILL DRIVE – SHANNON ROAD TO SILVERBELL ROAD
On Wednesday, March 18, 2015, crews from Sunland Asphalt, under contract with the City of Tucson Department of Transportation (TDOT), will begin work to improve the pavement conditions on Flowing Wells Road between Roger Road and Miracle Mile.
Crews will begin the project by lowering manhole covers and water valve covers. Lowering the utility covers is scheduled to be complete by Friday, March 20, 2015. Work will take place from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day.
On Thursday, March 26, 2015 and Friday, March 27, 2015, crews will begin milling (removing asphalt) and repaving Flowing Wells Road. The paving work is scheduled to be complete by Wednesday, April 1, 2015. The milling and paving work will take place from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day.
On Monday, March 23, 2015, crews from Sunland Asphalt will begin milling Ironwood Hill Drive from Shannon Road to Silverbell Road. Crews will begin repaving this section of Ironwood Hill Drive on Wednesday, March 25, 2015. The repaving work is scheduled to be complete on Thursday, March 26, 2015. Work hours will be 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day.
These pavement improvement projects are part of the $100 million, five-year street bond program – Road Recovery. The Road Recovery program is funded by voter-approved bonds.
Residential and business access will be maintained at all times during the project, except for when heavy equipment is directly in front of a driveway. At least one lane of travel in each direction will be maintained during this work. Please obey all traffic control signs and watch for construction personnel and equipment in these work areas. The schedule is subject to change due to equipment malfunction or inclement weather.
