Resurfacing Projects Postponed

Campbell Avenue – Fort Lowell Road to Glenn Street
22nd Street – Tucson Boulevard to Alvernon Way

Current weather conditions and the forecast of inclement weather throughout the week has postponed repaving work on Campbell Avenue from Fort Lowell Road to Glenn Street and on 22nd Street from Tucson Boulevard to Alvernon Way.

Crews from Sunland Asphalt, under contract with the City of Tucson Department of Transportation (TDOT), were scheduled to begin repaving Campbell Avenue tonight and they were scheduled to begin lowering manhole covers and water valve covers on 22nd Street earlier today.

The improvements on both Campbell Avenue and on 22nd Street are scheduled to begin next week, weather permitting. Additional information on work hours will be distributed later this week.

These pavement improvement projects are part of the $100 million, five-year street bond program – Road Recovery. The Road Recovery program is funded by voter-approved bonds.
