Ride Transit to 4th Avenue Spring Street Fair

TUCSON, Ariz. –Sun Link streetcar and Sun Tran buses provide a cost-effective transportation option to the 45th annual 4th Avenue Spring Street Fairfrom March 20 through March 22, open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The Sun Link streetcar will continue to be in service during the 4th Avenue Street Fair. The streetcar stops at 4thAvenue /9th Street and University Boulevard /3rd Avenue provide convenient access to the event, located at either end of the Street Fair. More than 11,000 parking spaces are near the streetcar route, including public and private garages, meters and surface lots. Parking is free at more than 1,200 metered street spaces after 5 p.m. Friday through the weekend.

Two streetcar stops –Fourth Avenue/ Fourth Street and Fourth Avenue/Seventh Street – will not be in service starting at 1p.m. on Thursday, March 19 through end of day Sunday, due to the street fair, but passengers will be able to bypass closures with available bus shuttles.

Passengers can purchase a 1-Day Ticket at $4 at any one of the streetcar stops or at the Ronstadt Transit Center downtown. Sun Link riders are encouraged to purchase a SunGO 1-Day Ticket before an event to help avoid wait times. To pay-by-the-ride, riders can purchase a SunGO Card and load cash value at www.suntran.com, at any sales outlet or at the transit centers. Plan ahead when making online purchases. The following Sun Tran and Sun Shuttle routes also serve the downtown area. Please note if riding Sun Tran or Sun Shuttle to weekend events, some routes discontinue service prior to events ending. Please call customer service or visit suntran.com for trip planning assistance.

The cost to ride Sun Tran is $1.50 one-way for full fare passengers, 50 cents one-way for seniors 65 years and older, Medicare cardholders, disabled persons and low-income individuals with a SunGO ID & Card.

Sun Tran and the Sun Link streetcar accept all SunGO products, which provide easy transfers between the transit systems. Children five years of age and younger ride Sun Tran and Sun Link free with a paying passenger.
